Back office
Fundamental's backoffice offering is the strongest of the three.
System core functionality covers the portfolio administration process from transaction capturing to valuations and reporting
The transaction based system incorporates income (corporate events, yield income accruals, bank interest) and fee transaction processing as well as the full trade cycle (trade capture, confirmations and settlements).
Most of the daily tasks can be automated via a configurable Processing Manager workflow
Additional Modules for extended processing include:
Cash Management
Defined cash strategies for sweeping and rolling over cash accounts on a periodic basis
Custom fields
Allows users to add their own custom forms for reporting data
Reconciliations
Scrip and bank account reconciliations
Unit Pricing
Pricing of Unit Trusts, Life Pooled Pension Funds and Segregated Portfolios.
Fund of Funds
Tiered structure of unit priced portfolios
Integrated General Ledger
Automatic debit and credit postings based on rules linked to transaction processing

The corporate events module allows for the capture, preview and processing of corporate
actions. The module includes the exercising of options and caters for the processing of bulk
transactions against existing holdings.

The Fees module include a formula builder which allows for the creation of
mathematical expressions. These expressions allow users to define fee rules and unit trust
price formulas within the system.

The Portfolio Manager screen is the central area for the setup and maintenance of portfolios.
This module includes a breakdown of the portfolio structure and displays associated holdings,
transactions and cash records.

The process manager allows for the linking of specific tasks
that can be initiated via the UI or scheduled to run at a specified time. A status report
is associated per task allowing users to track results. The process can be reversed and
re-run to accommodate changes. The process manager can run both unit pricing workflows per portfolio type as well as a general day process workflow across all portfolios.

The market price history is one of a number of enquiry screens available on FPM.
These screens are designed to allow users access to the instrument, client and valuation
information stored on FPM. The data can be exported to a number of formats including a charting functionality.
